187 nationalities are living in Amsterdam. This makes it the most international city, even before Antwerp and New York. As fun and interesting as this makes life in Amsterdam, there are things in daily life that trouble expats. For example, almost all Amsterdammers speak English but not all do. Especially when it comes to communication with civil servants, this causes problems. Or think about the Dutch food culture. Expats usually start having dinner around the time that restaurant kitchens close. Expats Unmaze will set up a movement in the Amsterdam expat-community to raise awareness and take action for such problems or annoyances. Solutions will probably take only a few years to implement, if people feel responsible. Expats Unmaze is the first step of making Amsterdam a city even more welcoming for expats in 2025.
